Is it okay to distribute lies as part of one's job?

There are many people spreading lies because they do not know the truth. It is not part of their job to fully understand the content they share to the world and to the children, but does this ignorance justify them and free them of all guilt? Most are just ignorant, but many know they are pushing lies for a greater agenda, many it is for greed or job security. Scientists are willing to be ignorant and commit fraud for whatever the reason.
