Does the second law of thermodynamics disprove the theory of Greenhouse Gases? The three laws of thermodynamics were primarily written for thermal energy (heat). There are some statements that are applicable to different forms of energy, with the inclusion of the conservation of energy. The statement that energy flows from hot to cold is in reference only to conduction of thermal energy. Radiation does not know hot or cold, it can contribute by conversion to thermal energy into something getting hotter. Member's Input: - Comments Restricted no comments |
