How helpful is arguing semantics?

When it comes to marketing, buzzwords are contrived to help sell a product or an agenda. These buzzwords often combine words into a new term that has nothing to do with the original words. But it becomes ignorance when one waste valuable time arguing semantics, especially when in most cases the argument is wrong, as it is a buzzword, their buzzword, their meaning. Some people just like to argue, just more ignorance.
