Conversations: Culture definition: 1. The quality in a person or society that arises from a concern for what is regarded as excellent in arts, letters, manners, scholarly pursuits, etc. 2. A particular form or stage of civilization, as that of a certain nation or period: Greek culture. 3. The behaviors and beliefs characteristic of a particular social, ethnic, or age group: the youth culture; the drug culture. 4. Anthropology. the sum total of ways of living built up by a group of human beings and transmitted from one generation to another.

Racism: Less than one hundred fifty years ago, racism was a much different philosophy. It was a bit gentler as the difference was assumed obvious, this making the various collective families feel correct in their stances of superiority and inferiority. As the twentieth century came about the differences defined by race became near insignificant to many of the first world countries. The knowledge we have now proves that it is insignificant but certain entities are doing their best to create a delusion in the minds of people that the collective families are extremely different. As long as the various families continue to push the pendulum of hate and pride back and forth, racism will remain and likely get worse. It forces those that are not racist to pick a side with the only choice being their collective family. There will be no cure in my lifetime for racism.

Slavery: WE ARE SLAVES! This world of humanity works off the Master / Slave principal. Most people if were funded well and did not need to go to work, would not. Moreover, if it was a matter of doing certain jobs, many jobs would not happen, such as a garbage person, coal miner, slaughterhouse workers, sweatshops, etc… Without this understanding, we lose the importance of this system and the fact that all of us are slaves. Sorry Afro-Americans, you are still slaves just like whitey. I put this saying at the beginning of the book. In the United States, the Northern Slave System proved more effective than the Southern Slave System, hence, a Civil War leading to the current slavery system of the United States of America. We believe we are free but we are not! Even if we get a cabin in the middle of nowhere, we would likely have to work harder and suffer worse hardships than our current slavery. Should we complain? WE ARE ALL SLAVES! The good thing with the United States, if you do not fall for the buy bigger and better, you will likely find that your debt will not choke the life out of you and you can rise enough up the ladder to have a good life.

"A Negro preacher delivered sermons on the plantation. Services being held in the church used by whites after their services on Sunday. The preacher must always act as a peacemaker and mouthpiece for the master, so they were told to be subservient to their masters in order to enter the Kingdom of God. But the slaves held secret meetings and had praying grounds where they met a few at a time to pray for better things." Harriet Gresham, born a slave in 1838 in South Carolina, as reported by her interviewer, ca. 1935
