Democracy is Not Mob Rules but Mob of Fools
Tim LeClair   02 Jan 2014 12:22 AM pst

Democracy is a powerful buzzword that seems to indicate the majority’s choice or 51%. It does not! Take an example of a country of 100 people who all can vote. Let us vote a person as president of this country allowing everyone to vote for him or herself. Everyone but one person votes for self and the one that voted for someone else allowed someone to have 2 percent and become the leader of this country; not 51%. Now try this example with 300 million people and one will find the percentage is extremely lower than 2%. Even at 51% accepting, that can lead to many unhappy people. That number could be as high as 150 million in the United States. What if the people of the country are not provided the ability to select the options? What if an option is constantly defamed, underfunded, and hidden from public as a viable candidate? What if the person elected by vote is actually just a puppet of a system that appears to have two or more sides or options but really only has one? Many of the end results of countries converted to democracies are actual puppet governments governed often externally. Some even have a double or triple puppet government making the external rule invisible to the people of the country. Democracy is a buzzword that makes everyone feel that they have control of a choice when they really do not.

The people of the United States in 2012 did not select Barack Obama as the Democrat candidate for the U.S. President. He was the only option and there never was a vote to determine the people’s choice in over 30 of the states. There never was and never will be any democracy in the Democrat Party nor any in the Republican Party; it is all smoke and mirrors. The United States is a republic of laws (never was a true democracy) with the meaning we are ruled by our laws (Not 51%, 80 %, or even 1%). Republic in 1777 meant Common Wealth. It is important to note the United States supposedly has a democratic process to elect the officials designated to create and maintain the laws to govern the country.
